QUEEN's University Belfast NI Technology Center purchased Delfoi Edu Planner
Northern Ireland Technology Center purchased Delfoi Edu Planner to educate and teach operations management in QUEEN's University Belfast.
Edu Planner is a web-based learning environment that enables students and student groups independently excercise operations management. Tutors can check results and achievements of any user in the system at any time. Planner Edu includes 8 exercises for areas such as production scheduling, production strategies, batch size optimization with set-up and quality control, investment planning, MRP planning and product standardization strategies.
Delfoi Edu Planner is easy to learn. With a couple of hours' web training, Tom Edgar, Director, NI Technology Centre, presented Delfoi Planner Edu by himself in a 30-minute workshop in Industry Forum on Manufacturing Efficiency. Tom commented after the session: "Everything went extremely well and we generated a considerable amount of interest both in what we are doing with production simulation and planning. We also hope to expand our co-operation with Delfoi in the area of Digital Manufacturing and Production Management in the near future." Tom also added that " the system is very easy to learn and we felt after the installation and short usage that it provides even more substance in depth than we originally expected".
Raimo Puro, CEO, Delfoi: " We are very please to get QUEEN's NITC to our customer with Delfoi Edu Planner. We believe that Delfoi Edu Planner will enable NITC also to innovate on Operations management and Digital manufacturing with their industry partners."
