Robot simulation and off-line programming (OLP)

Robot simulation and off-line programming, OLP, is meant for taking the non-productive on-line programming out of the production facilities. OLP cuts down the production down-time of robots completely or at least by 90%. OLP utilizes CAD data similarly to CAD/CAM systems and can hence be named as the CAD/CAM system of industrial robots.

Delfoi is the most experienced supplier of DELMIA robot simulation and off-line programming (OLP) applications. Our experience goes beyond 1990 when we implemented the first IGRIP waterjet cutting OLP system for ABB. Also the first DELMIA robot arc welding, robot sealing and robot grinding applications were implemented by Delfoi. 

Delfoi delivered the first IGRIP for the European car industry already in 1991. The customer was Valmet Automotive, which is known today as an assembly factory for Porce Boxter cars. Besides car industry we have DELMIA OLP customers in heavy machinery (John Deere, Caterpillar, Hagglunds, Metso Paper, Sandvik Tamrock, Volvo VCE…), aircraft (Boeing, Patria, Saab…), nuclear (Westinghouse > BNFL), …
